BAP Badman Review

Annyeong! This is my first review, so please bear with me. I just decided to do this review because I somehow miss BAP. Or at least I miss spazzing about kpop 'cos I've been really busy with school.

I just rewatched the MV a while ago and I still couldn't get over Daehyun's voice. It has become even sexier, especially in the intro. For me, out of five points, I give them 3.5 for MV, 4.5 for the song, and 4.0 for the bit of dance preview in the MV.

Music Video.
I'm a SM stan and music videos like this is really different and gives me a 180 degree turn type of feels. It is also completely different from the usual type of any other kpop music video because: (1) It is not shot in Korea, (2) rather than back up dancers, they have Americans having some kind of riot while the members are gorgeously in the middle staying there like it's a normal day and nothing is happening in their background, and (3) it is trying to portray something more than just singing, dancing, and face the camera and be complimented by fans.
It doesn't have any goose-bump feels for me and all compared to their Hurricane MV. The 'story' doesn't give much. I don't even get the story. I was waiting that there will be a revelation of what is happening in the story, what they are fighting about and all. I don't even get what does the kissing scene was all about and its connection to the riot. It has drama, yes. But the story is quite lacking for me.
On a deeper interpretation, I think it simply says that on whichever side you're from, no one will win because violence and negativity is present. It doesn't match exactly with the song's lyrics but the message is on the same page :)

Song.
I really like this song. It is simple and is trying to relate something about the society and all. It is not as clear or specific as to giving an example of a badman. Like a politician only trying to gain power. But rather, it is in general form as translations say "All you who close your eyes over money and threats, get out" (http://kkromanized.wordpress.com/2013/08/06/rom-eng-lyrics-b-a-p-badman/)
And! I really love Daehyun's sexy voice in this song. It fits him well, I like it better than Hurricane and Coffee Shop. He 's really good. Actually all the members did really well in their parts.

Choreography.
I haven't seen much of choreo from the MV but it gives me a lot of feels and I'm really excited to wait for the actual perf and dance version. The way they stand there straight, stretch out their arms and move their heads, I find it really sexy. It seems that it is not as hard as One Shot, but they still give that BAP style.

Overall, BAP, as always, did an awesome job with this MV. It has an average of 4.0 for me. I don't find their concept as something 'new' but it is different. It is a risk to do such kind of music video. Kudos to their team/staff.
Their costumes (stripe ones) are the type of costume that looks good in MV but awkward in performances. I just hope they have other type/set of costumes for perfs.
The fans also did an awesome job, except that their plan on having 1M views on Badman MV in 24 hours didn't work. I guess, the anticipation on BAP isn't that big as their sunbaes like 2NE1, we just have to keep our fandom strong and beautiful :) Beside, in spite of all the negativities in the YT comments, the fans tend to get along and ignore all the haters and all. I just hope that all fans in general (kpop) will be able to accept constructive criticisms, because I can see that there are fans that are open to any opinions.

Please give love to this blog. Anyway, I am planning to do a giveaway and I decided that it'll be a Badman Album. I'm still contemplating on what will be the process and all 'cos this is the first time I'll be doing a giveaway. I assume only a few people will join. I'll post the details later this week.
